I was cleaning out the craft stuff (It’s that time of year again already!) and found myself going through some of my older sketches and journals. I found this picture I drew in college (about 16 years ago, yikes!). I went through a phase of sketching trees, no color just black and white. I can’t explain it but there is something very therapeutic about seeing an object then sketching it out. Maybe because it takes so much focus…and the focus is on something beautiful and natural. Anyways, I had about 3 hours between classes and one day I just sat outside and drew for the whole three hours. It was awesome and one of my clearest memories. So I thought I would share it….
Alrighty now its a new year lets get out those pencils and get sketching!
What is your favorite thing to sketch?

I have a random question- can I use this sketch as the background for my wedding invitations?
Let me know either way!
Hi! Thank you so much for your interest, and congratulations! I think we can work something out. Can you send me a direct email at email@example.com, or if you have an email so I can contact you directly, I would love to talk to you about it.
Could you please tell me, which tree is it?
Honestly I have no idea. I drew it while waiting for a class on a college campus in 1999. Sorry!!
