Cinco De Mayo is Monday, May 5th. I am Mexican, German, English, Irish, and Spanish, so I love the plethora of celebrations throughout the year! Famous for backyard bbq’s, vibrant colors, loud music and celebration, Cinco de Mayo”the Fifth of May,” is a Mexican Holiday that actually celebrates the Battle of Puebla. This battle took place on May 5, 1862.

A Photo Thursday- A Little Batty for Earthday

What are you doing for Earth Day!

Earth day is April 22, we should take a moment and appreciate what a beautiful diverse world we live in.
😀
Like a bat, like this little guy for instance, how often do we take the time to appreciate a simple bat, that may seem creepy to many but with out a bat our world would not be the same.Bats are important to our ecosystems and human economies. Bats consume huge amounts of insects, including harmful agricultural pests.

Bats can also pollinate countless plants, helping out the production of fruits that support local economies, as well as animal populations.

Make/Decorate Cards with Scrap Paper

Making your own cards is such an awesome way to inspire someone, cheer someone up or simply let them know your thinking about them. Everyone loves to receive a card and if your like me you probably have tons of scraps somewhere.

What better way to use them up than to make cards!  I try not to throw anything I can use in a later project away, which means I am always looking for ways to use up old scraps of paper!  I made a bunch of inspirational cards last year, it was really fun, and it was a great way to use odd scraps.

Here are a few ideas to get those creative juices flowin’!
